BLACK+DECKER BDH2000L Handheld Vacuum: Tools Stay With the Nozzle
THE BUYING TAKE
Choose the BDH2000L for dry touch-ups when onboard tools and straightforward filter care suit your routine. Do not buy on the voltage label alone.
Best for
Households wanting one handheld with attached tools for recurring dry debris, plus a dedicated place to recharge it.
The trade-off
Filters must be cleaned, fully dried and correctly refitted. Dry debris only; not a replacement for extended floor cleaning or a guaranteed solution for embedded pet hair.

The awkward part of a small cleanup is not always the dirt. A narrow gap needs a different approach from an open cushion, and a loose attachment is little help when it lives in another room. The black BLACK+DECKER BDH2000L puts a brush and an extendable crevice tool on the nozzle itself. You carry the useful options with the vacuum.
This is the 20V MAX cordless handheld model supplied with a charging base and washable VF110 filter. Its appeal is a compact cleanup routine: adjust the working end, collect dry debris, then empty and recharge it. The nozzle arrangement deserves more attention than treating the voltage label as a suction score.
Change the working end, not the whole setup
The crevice tool pulls out from the nozzle and locks into position. The brush flips up when you need bristles at the opening. Before changing accessories, switch the vacuum off; then choose the arrangement that fits the surface rather than forcing the same opening through every gap.
Nozzle rotation is a separate adjustment. Press the rotating button, turn the nozzle left or right, and let it click into place. That changes the approach to an awkward opening without requiring you to hold the entire handle at the same angle as a fixed nozzle.
Think of moving from loose crumbs along a seat edge to debris on a cushion. Having both attachments onboard removes the search for a separate accessory bag. It does not guarantee access everywhere: the body still needs room, and an extension cannot get around every obstruction. Check the opening and your hand clearance before buying for one especially tight space.

Empty the dirt, keep the reusable filter
The translucent bowl lets you see what has collected inside. For a quick empty, the nozzle releases from the front; a more thorough clean involves removing the bowl and filters. Those are different tasks, so an easy-empty design should not be mistaken for maintenance-free filtration.
The reusable filter is not a disposable dust bag. Keep it when emptying the bowl, and never operate the vacuum without correctly fitted filters. BLACK+DECKER describes cyclonic action that helps keep the filter clear, but regular filter care remains part of ownership.
The bowl and filters can be washed in warm, soapy water. Allow them to dry completely before refitting and using the vacuum. Only the appropriate removable parts get that treatment: clean the main body with a damp cloth, and never immerse the vacuum or charging base. A rinse after a dirty job therefore adds drying time to the next cleanup.
Give the charging base a permanent place
A supplied base gives the vacuum a place to return after use. Put it near a suitable indoor outlet, away from sinks and hot surfaces, and use the supplied charger. A convenient location matters because a cordless cleaner cannot help with the next mess if it has been put away uncharged.
The 20V MAX marking refers to maximum initial battery voltage without a workload; nominal voltage is 18V. It does not establish a measured advantage over another vacuum. Do not assume that matching voltage labels make an unrelated charger suitable, or that the number describes cleaning time.
Match it to dry touch-ups
Choose the BDH2000L for recurring dry debris in accessible corners, furniture gaps and vehicle interiors. Its onboard tools and serviceable bowl make particular sense when you prefer keeping the accessories with the cleaner and can accommodate washing, drying and charging between jobs.
It is not a liquid-pickup machine. Keep it away from hot ash, burning material, toxic substances and flammable liquids. A washable filter also does not establish medical-grade filtration or a promise to remove deeply embedded pet hair.
Keep a larger vacuum for extended floor cleaning. And if your existing hand vacuum already reaches the same spaces and has useful onboard tools, those shared features alone are not a reason to replace it.
