Anker SOLIX C1000 Power Station: Check the UltraFast Charge Setup
THE BUYING TAKE
Choose the original C1000 when app-enabled AC recharging and varied outputs fit a planned device group; compare another size if carrying weight or runtime dominates.
Best for
A mixed group of compatible devices with access to suitable AC charging and a realistic 28-pound carrying routine.
The trade-off
UltraFast needs the app and AC input. 2400W SurgePad is not ordinary continuous output; US bypass is limited separately. Solar panels and expansion add cost and bulk.

A portable battery is only useful for the next outing or outage if you can restore its charge in time. The original Anker SOLIX C1000 combines a 1056Wh battery with a manufacturer-rated 58-minute UltraFast recharge. That makes the charging arrangement an important part of choosing it, rather than a detail to discover after it arrives.
This is the original C1000, model A1761, with the selected car-charging-cable package. It is not the C1000 Gen 2. Buy around the devices, carrying routine and available charging source you actually have; a fast headline does not make every source fast.
Set up the app before counting on UltraFast
Anker's 58-minute figure requires an AC power supply and UltraFast charging enabled in the Anker app. The mode allows up to 1300W input. A smartphone and the initial app connection therefore belong in the plan if this speed is the reason for buying.
The app also lets you adjust charging speed and view status. That is a practical reason to choose the C1000 when the time available between uses varies: you can decide when faster replenishment matters rather than assume the same arrangement every day.
The user guide recommends ordinary charging when appropriate and UltraFast when necessary. The published time remains a manufacturer rating under suitable conditions, not a measurement performed for this article. Check the charging conditions and available circuit before planning a tight departure around it.

Assign the ports without treating every rating as identical
The US model provides six AC outlets, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and a car socket. The USB-C ratings differ: one supports up to 100W, the other up to 30W. Match the device, cable and charging requirements instead of treating the two connectors as interchangeable high-power outputs.
This range of connections is a second reason to consider it for a mixed group of compatible devices. You can plan direct USB charging alongside AC equipment without giving every small charger an AC socket. Count simultaneous loads as well as available plugs.
The ordinary AC inverter rating is 1800W total. SurgePad's support for certain devices rated up to 2400W is a different operating feature, not a conventional 2400W continuous-output rating. Anker excludes precision instruments and equipment with strict voltage requirements from that feature, and its guide says it does not operate in bypass mode.
If standby backup matters, check that arrangement separately. Anker's US support information lists a 20ms transfer and a 1440W bypass limit. Do not copy the inverter's 1800W figure into every operating mode or assume every connected device tolerates the transfer.
Plan the return trip as carefully as the departure
The selected package includes AC and car charging cables. Solar panels are optional; the presence of a solar input does not establish that a panel comes with this purchase. Compare the equipment needed for the charging source you will actually use.
The C1000 accepts up to 600W solar input through its specified input connection. That is a ceiling, not an assurance of full recharge at the advertised solar time under shade, changing weather or a smaller panel. Follow the exact voltage, current and connector requirements when choosing compatible equipment.
Anker also says AC and DC recharging do not combine simultaneously; AC has priority when both are connected. Buying several charging accessories therefore does not mean their maximum inputs can simply be added together. Choose the useful route for your location instead of budgeting around an unsupported total.
Decide whether the carrying weight earns its capacity
The original C1000 weighs about 28.44 pounds before any extra battery or accessories. Its handles make it movable, but this is a different carrying decision from a small power bank. Consider the route from storage to the car or backup position, including stairs and space around the vents.
The 1056Wh figure describes stored energy, not a guaranteed runtime for a particular appliance. Conversion, settings and load affect how long it operates. Check the needed duration against realistic device consumption before using capacity alone to justify the purchase.
A compatible BP1000 expansion battery can bring the combination to 2112Wh, but it adds cost and weight rather than increasing the ordinary inverter rating. Choose the original C1000 when the charge setup and mixed-device connections fit your routine. Choose another size when portability or runtime matters more than this particular balance.
