A small photo printer is most useful when you already know which pictures you want to put into an album, hand to someone or display. The Liene M100 Amber makes 4x6-inch photos from supported devices using thermal dye-sublimation printing. Its purchase decision is about creating a convenient print station, not replacing every kind of home printer.

This article covers the white, non-battery M100 package with one hundred sheets and three cartridges. Liene also sells other printers and battery versions, so check the selected model and supplies together. The M100 can be moved between suitable locations, but it needs its power adapter to print.

Choose the photographs before choosing the refill pack

The supported 4x6 format gives the M100 a clear job: turning selected digital pictures into small physical prints. That is one reason to consider it when you want an album or a set of photographs to share without making a separate printing trip for every small batch.

Start with the format you actually use. Consider your album pockets, frames and the way you plan to give prints to friends or family. A printer dedicated to this size is less useful if you mainly need documents, larger wall pictures or a variety of paper formats.

Review the framing of each picture before sending it. A phone image may have a different shape from the print you want, so check what the selected layout includes and where important details sit. Owning the printer lets you make those choices at home, but it does not automatically make every image suitable for the chosen format.

Use the printer's network as a deliberate connection

The M100 provides a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for connecting a phone or another supported device. This is a second buying reason when you want a direct print connection rather than depending on a home router for the print station.

The manual describes connecting the device to the printer's network, then using a supported printing method. Liene also offers its photo app for editing and printing. Check the current instructions for your device instead of assuming every phone and computer follows exactly the same sequence.

On Android, the manual notes that switching to the printer's hotspot may show a message that internet access is unavailable. That distinction helps explain the arrangement: the connection is being used to reach the printer. Prepare the pictures you want and understand which network your device is using.

Wi-Fi printing does not make this a Bluetooth model or a battery-powered printer. The USB-C port is documented for data rather than charging. Keep the connection choice and the power requirement separate when deciding where you can use it.

Reserve space for paper movement

A compact stored printer still needs a usable operating position. Its paper moves back and forth during the printing process. The non-battery manual asks for more than four inches, or ten centimeters, of space behind the machine.

That clearance belongs in your desk plan, alongside the inserted paper cassette and access to the power supply. Do not judge the whole setup only by the white body sitting neatly on a shelf. Choose a stable place where the rear paper path can remain open during a batch.

The paper cassette can sit on top of the printer for storage, as the supplier illustration shows. That helps pack the arrangement away between sessions, but it is a storage configuration. Set it up for printing according to the instructions before starting again.

Count supplies as part of each printing session

The selected package's one hundred sheets are the included supply, not the capacity of the cassette. The manual specifies a maximum of twenty sheets in the cassette. Larger batches therefore include refilling it rather than loading the whole package at once.

The M100 uses compatible paper and ribbon cartridges. Check the exact refill combination and ongoing cost before assuming ordinary office paper or an unrelated cartridge will work. The included supplies give you a starting set; they do not make subsequent prints free.

The supplier pictures illustrate the package and storage arrangement. They do not establish a measured color-quality result from this article or guarantee how every original photograph will appear.

Choose the M100 when regular 4x6 printing, a direct device connection and a place to prepare small batches fit your routine. Choose another arrangement if you need battery operation, many paper sizes or a printer that handles general documents as well as photographs.
