Ninja AF101 vs COSORI TurboBlaze 6 Qt: Compact Simplicity or More Capacity and Heat

Both are single-basket air fryers, but they suit different routines: the Ninja AF101 keeps four programs in a 4-quart format, while the COSORI TurboBlaze adds a 6-quart square basket, a 450°F ceiling, and more mode-specific controls.

OUR BUYING TAKE

Choose the Ninja AF101 for smaller batches, a simpler four-program routine, and a 4-quart footprint. Choose the COSORI TurboBlaze for a 6-quart square basket, a 90–450°F range, and broader mode-specific controls you will actually use; neither replaces a dual-zone fryer.

A single-basket air fryer can be easy to live with until its size works against the way you cook. The Ninja AF101 and COSORI TurboBlaze CAF-DC601-KUS cover the same core jobs—air frying, reheating, roasting, and dehydrating—but they make different tradeoffs. Ninja keeps the appliance to a 4-quart basket, four programs, and a 105–400°F range. COSORI moves to a 6-quart square basket, nine functions, five mode-mapped fan speeds, and a 90–450°F range.

The useful question is not which model has the longer feature list. It is whether you usually make smaller batches and want a straightforward panel, or regularly need more basket area and will use the broader low- and high-temperature modes. Both remain one-drawer machines, so neither can cook two foods at independent temperatures or finish times.

A 4-quart basket saves space but sets the batch size

The AF101 is the more natural fit for one- to three-person meals, sides, leftovers, and modest snack batches. Ninja lists a 4-quart ceramic-coated basket and crisper plate, with capacity for up to 2 pounds of French fries. Its published dimensions are about 13.6 inches deep, 11 inches wide, and 13.3 inches high. That is still a countertop appliance, but the 11-inch width can be easier to place than a larger drawer fryer.

The limitation is the same feature viewed from the other side. A 4-quart basket may require separate rounds when food needs room around each piece or when several people are eating. Buyers who routinely cook a larger protein portion and a side should not assume the listed quart capacity will eliminate batching. Basket shape, food thickness, and the need for a single layer still matter.

The TurboBlaze gives the cook a 6-quart square basket. COSORI describes it as suitable for roughly three to five servings and lists the appliance at about 11.8 inches wide, 14.4 inches deep, and 11.9 inches high with the handle. By the published numbers, it is about 0.8 inch wider and 0.8 inch deeper than the AF101, though it is lower. A shallow counter or under-cabinet storage plan still needs measuring. The reason to accept that footprint is more flat basket area for a larger batch, not a guarantee that every meal will finish in one cycle.

Controls matter only when they match your routine

Ninja gives the AF101 four labeled programs: Air Fry, Roast, Reheat, and Dehydrate. That covers the routines many buyers repeat without turning the panel into a catalog of presets. Reheat is useful for restoring surface texture to leftovers, and the low-temperature end gives Dehydrate a real operating range. If those are the modes you expect to use, extra buttons are not automatically extra value.

COSORI lists Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Broil, Dehydrate, Frozen, Proof, Reheat, and Keep Warm. It also assigns five preset fan speeds across those functions. The wording matters: the fan speeds are mapped to modes, not offered as unrestricted manual fan control. This broader setup has value when proofing, dehydrating, baking, and higher-heat broiling genuinely belong in your weekly routine. If the machine will mostly cook frozen fries and reheat pizza, the AF101's simpler panel may be enough.

Heat range and wattage change the working envelope

The AF101 operates from 105°F to 400°F and is rated at 1,550W on 120V. The TurboBlaze spans 90°F to 450°F and is rated at 1,725W on 120V. COSORI's lower minimum supports Proof and Dehydrate, while the 450°F maximum extends the high-heat end beyond the Ninja's 400°F ceiling. Those specifications describe available settings; they do not prove that one model cooks every food faster, browns more evenly, or uses less energy.

The wattage difference also deserves a practical reading. Both are high-power countertop appliances, and the COSORI carries the higher listed draw. Either should be used according to its manual and on a suitable kitchen circuit rather than sharing an overloaded outlet with another high-draw appliance. Buyers seeking a low-wattage travel appliance should choose neither.

Cleanup is similar; the household fit is not

Both makers identify the removable basket and crisper plate as dishwasher-safe. That makes cleanup less of a separator than capacity and controls. The dishwasher claim applies to those removable parts, not the complete appliance, and coated surfaces still benefit from avoiding unnecessary abrasion.

Choose the Ninja AF101 when smaller everyday portions, a 4-quart basket, four clearly labeled programs, and a 400°F maximum match the work you actually do. Its strongest case is disciplined simplicity: enough range for air frying, reheating, roasting, and dehydrating without paying in counter space for a larger basket you may not fill.

Choose the COSORI TurboBlaze when the 6-quart square basket will reduce repeated batches and you expect to use the 90–450°F span, nine functions, and mode-specific airflow. It is the better fit for a small family or frequent batch cook who accepts a deeper body and a 1,725W rating. Skip both for independent dual-zone cooking, and do not buy the TurboBlaze solely because nine functions looks better on paper.
