Rubbermaid Brilliance 10-Piece Food Storage Set: Leakproof, Clear, Easy to Stack

Rubbermaid Brilliance model 1976520 is a five-container set for people who want leftovers, lunches, and meal-prep food to stay visible without giving up a secure latch. This article covers the clear 10-piece Amazon U.S. child ASIN B01JCNEIC6: five containers plus five lids, with two 1.3-cup containers, two 3.2-cup containers, and one 9.6-cup container.

The appeal is straightforward. The containers are clear enough to see what is inside, the lids lock on both sides, and the shapes are designed to stack. That makes the set especially useful when your refrigerator has too many mismatched tubs but you do not want to switch to heavier glass. The clear rectangular shapes also make it easier to scan a shelf before shopping, because you can see portions and ingredients without lifting several lids.

The five-container mix works best for leftovers and lunches

The exact B01JCNEIC6 package gives you two small 1.3-cup containers, two medium 3.2-cup containers, and one large 9.6-cup container. That is a practical mix for sauces, chopped fruit, single-serving leftovers, packed lunches, and one larger batch of food.

It is less flexible if you want several big meal-prep boxes of the same size. Only one container is 9.6 cups, so buyers who portion four or five full meals at once may prefer a set with more matching medium or large containers. For a household that stores a variety of portions, the assortment is more useful because the smaller pieces are not wasted.

Clear Tritan and stacking make fridge organization easier

Rubbermaid uses crystal-clear, BPA-free Tritan plastic for the Brilliance line. The material is designed to resist stains and odors, while the clear walls let you identify leftovers without opening the lid. The modular shapes stack on one another, which helps turn a crowded refrigerator shelf into a more regular footprint. Because the lids and bases stay flat rather than nesting into deep irregular bowls, a stack is also easier to move as a unit when you need space for a larger dish.

The advantage over opaque containers is not just appearance. When food is visible, it is easier to notice what should be eaten first. The advantage over glass is weight: these plastic containers are easier to carry in a lunch bag. The tradeoff is equally simple—buyers who specifically want glass for oven-oriented cooking or who prefer a heavier container should choose the glass version instead.

Dual latches seal for transport, then open the microwave vents

Each lid uses two locking latches to create the airtight, leakproof seal Rubbermaid highlights for Brilliance. That design makes the set more suitable for soup, sauce, or a packed lunch than a loose snap-on lid.

The useful detail is under the latches. Built-in vents let steam escape during microwave reheating with the lid left on and the latches opened, helping control splatter without requiring you to remove the cover completely. The exact Amazon listing also marks the containers safe for the microwave, freezer, and dishwasher. That gives one set a clean workflow from refrigerator to reheating to cleanup.

Buy it for a tidy mixed-size system, not maximum capacity

Brilliance makes the most sense when your priority is a secure, stackable system for everyday food storage. The five sizes in this package cover small sides through a larger family portion, and the clear bodies reduce the “mystery leftovers” problem that comes with opaque tubs.

Skip this exact 10-piece set if you need five identical meal-prep containers, several large containers, or an oven-safe storage-and-baking system. Also note that Rubbermaid now sells newer Brilliance sets with different capacity mixes, so the piece count alone does not identify the package. For B01JCNEIC6, the defining combination is two 1.3-cup, two 3.2-cup, and one 9.6-cup container with five matching lids.
