Ninja Crispi FN101ST Glass Air Fryer: Cook & Store

THE BUYING TAKE

Choose it when visible glass cooking and fewer container changes matter more than maximum air-fryer capacity or the lighter weight of a conventional basket.

Best for
Cooks who want one glass container to move from air frying to serving and, after cooling, refrigerator storage.
The trade-off
The 4-quart maximum is modest for large family batches, the system is corded despite its portable design, and glass is heavier and more breakable than a typical basket.

Article summary

Ninja’s Crispi pairs a removable 1500W PowerPod with 6-cup and 4-quart glass containers, making the cook-to-table-to-storage workflow its main reason to choose it over a basket air fryer.

If you like air-fryer crisping but dislike transferring food from a coated basket into a serving dish and then into a storage container, the Ninja Crispi takes a different route. The FN101ST system puts the heating pod on top of glass containers that can move from cooking to serving and, after cooling, storage. The reason to buy it is that workflow—not because it is cordless or because it has the biggest capacity in the category.

Glass changes the cook-to-store workflow

The system includes a 6-cup glass container for smaller meals and a 4-quart glass container for larger batches. Ninja pairs them with crisper plates, storage lids, and an adapter for the larger bowl. The PowerPod locks onto the top for cooking, while the glass container stays visible from the sides.

That arrangement is useful when you want to see the food without pulling out a dark basket. After cooking, the glass bowl can go to the table; once it has cooled, the matching storage lid can turn the same container into a refrigerator vessel. The lid is for storage and transport, not for air frying, so it should not be treated as part of the hot-air cooking setup.

Ninja describes the glassware as thermal-shock resistant and says the cooking surface is made without PFAS coatings. That is a material-design claim from the manufacturer, not a promise that the entire appliance is “toxin free.” The fixed heat-safe feet are intended to let the glass container sit on common countertop materials after cooking.

Two container sizes cover very different meals

The 6-cup bowl is the more interesting part if you often cook for one. Ninja says it can handle a personal-size meal in about seven minutes for supported recipes and conditions. The 4-quart container is the bigger option; the company says it can fit a 4-pound chicken with vegetables.

The two sizes make the system more flexible than a single small glass air fryer, but 4 quarts is still not huge. If you routinely cook large family batches, wings for several people, or a full tray of vegetables, a 6- to 8-quart basket-style air fryer may require fewer rounds.

The four cooking modes—Max Crisp, Bake, Air Fry, and Recrisp—cover the jobs most buyers will expect. The benefit is not a long list of programs; it is being able to choose a bowl that better matches the amount of food instead of heating a large chamber for every snack.

The PowerPod is compact, not cordless

“Portable” describes the removable cooking head and nestable glassware, but this is still a 1500-watt, 120-volt countertop appliance with a power cord. It needs an appropriate outlet and a stable surface during use. Do not plan on carrying it to a picnic table and cooking without power.

The compact pod can make cabinet storage easier because it nests with the glassware, yet the complete kit is heavier and more breakable than a lightweight plastic-and-metal basket fryer. Glass also demands ordinary care when moving it between counter, sink, refrigerator, and travel bag.

For cleanup, Ninja says the containers, crisper plates, adapter, and storage lids are dishwasher safe. That does not mean the powered heating pod belongs in the dishwasher. Wipe and maintain the electrical portion according to the appliance instructions.

Buy it for visible glass cooking, not maximum capacity

The Ninja Crispi makes the most sense for someone who likes air-fried food but wants fewer container changes between cooking, serving, and storing. The transparent glass bowls, two batch sizes, and removable PowerPod create a genuinely different routine from a fixed basket fryer.

It is less compelling if maximum capacity is the priority, if you prefer the lighter weight of a conventional basket, or if you rarely store leftovers in the cooking vessel. The system also commits you to Ninja’s compatible Crispi glassware rather than arbitrary bowls from the cabinet.

This is a substantial kitchen purchase rather than a small gadget. The value comes from the glass-container workflow and the two included sizes. If those two features would change how often you use an air fryer, the premium has a clear purpose; if not, a simpler basket model will likely do the same crisping job for less complexity.
